Aswathy realised her interest in areas of compassion in governance and inclusivity of policy design after clearing Kerala Administrative Service examination in 2021. She is enthusiastic about using behavioural science and technology to address policy challenges. She is currently interning with Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, during which her performance got her selected to work with Union Minister of MoHUA, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri.

NITI Aayog Life – Global Call for Ideas shortlisted her innovative behavioural change ideas for urban household waste segregation. She is also working on the research paper 'Malnutrition among tribal women through behavioural interventions'. During her term with ISPP, she worked for Capacity Building Commission in stakeholder mapping and interviewing for the 'Frontline railways' case tudy. As a well-rounded individual, Aswathy founded the photography club at ISPP and is the media manager at the ISPP policy review e-magazine, where she harnesses the collective creativity of her team to democratise policy education.
