Through this course we will try and understand the various facets of urban governance in India.
1. Recognise the systemic nature of cities, and the need for cities to have place based governance system
2. Discern the key urban governance challenges, and quality of life challenges including citizen participation, finance, planning, climate change and mobility; Appreciate that cities are theatres of challenges, and could be theatres of solutions as well
3. Explore the relationship between urbanisation and citizenship
4. Understand the pathways to catalyse change
