Key Responsibilities

Academic Support

We are recruiting a full-time office-based Fundraising, Deputy Manager to support the partnerships and fundraising activity at ISPP.

Position Summary

The Fundraising, Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing ISPP’s fundraising strategy, establishing and sustaining donor relationships, and ensuring effective grant acquisition and retention. 1. Donor Research & Strategy Development

The Centre is envisioned as a hub for forward-looking research, capacity building, and policy advisory in the areas of integrated urban management and urban development. Over time, ICUT aims to build a comprehensive repository of online learning resources in urban planning and management.

The Centre will operate through a network of senior empaneled experts and a small core of full-time professionals. A senior faculty member at ISPP will serve as the Centre’s Director on a part-time basis.

Role Summary

ISPP is currently looking to recruit two highly motivated Manager who will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling the work of ICUT. This individual will contribute to research, programme design and delivery, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge dissemination in the urban sector.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Director in shaping the Centre’s research and training agenda
Design and deliver training programmes in integrated urban management and urban transitions
Undertake or coordinate applied research projects, policy briefs, and advisory assignments
Build partnerships with urban local bodies, think tanks, academic institutions, and government agencies
Develop knowledge products, case studies, and online learning materials
Manage programme operations, logistics, reporting, and communications
Represent ICUT at urban development forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings

Candidate Profile

Experience

5 to 10 years of relevant experience in research, consulting, capacity building, or project implementation in the urban sector
Strong understanding of urban governance, infrastructure, mobility, land-use, or public finance is preferred
Prior experience working with government agencies, urban think tanks, or multilateral institutions is desirable

Educational Qualification

Urban Planning Track: Postgraduate degree in Urban Planning, Urban Management, Urban Economics, or a closely related field
Policy/Development Track: Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Management, or a related discipline

Skills

Excellent analytical and writing skills
Ability to design and manage capacity-building programmes
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities
Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Work Location

Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Delhi NCR and should be able to commute to the ISPP campus daily.

Minimum of 3 to 8 years of relevant post-PhD teaching and/or research experience, which would vary for an associate and assistant professor.
Proven ability to teach and mentor at the postgraduate level, preferably in policy-related programs.
Demonstrated research capabilities with publications and potential for funded projects.
Proficiency in quantitative and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata) is desirable.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
