About the session: The process of creating and executing successful policies in India is difficult and involves many challenges. In an upcoming Zoom discussion on April 9th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, expert Rajeev Kapoor will talk about the impact of well-designed policies that are poorly implemented, which can result in negative outcomes. The discussion will also cover ways to improve the structures and systems involved in creating public policy in India. Please find event details below:

About the speaker: As an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS, 1983 batch), Rajeev Kapoor has served in the Uttar Pradesh cadre and held senior positions in both the Central and State Governments. At the Central Government, Rajeev worked as Secretaries in different ministries, as Director of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), and as Joint secretary in the Department of Personnel. He also worked as a Governance Adviser with the Department for International Development (DFID), UK for three years. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur (batch of 1979) and has a Postgraduate Degree in Management from IIM (Ahmedabad). Rajeev also has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Princeton University, US.
