    Indian School of Public Policy offers the LokNeeti Programme in Policy, Data and Behaviour Change with its objective to democratise the discourse of public policy in the country and impart core public policy education in the vernacular.

    The LokNeeti Programme was launched in January 2022, and we are now admitting our Fourth cohort of scholars from around the country who shall begin their LokNeeti journey with us on 1 June 2023.

    We encourage applications from a wide range of candidates to build an academically, demographically and geographically diverse LokNeeti cohort that offers enormous peer learning opportunities.     4-Months Certificate Programme in LokNeeti: Policy, Data & Behaviour Change

    LokNeeti Programme in Policy, Data and Behaviour Change is ISPP's programme for working professionals interested in participating in public policy. The 16-week programme happens twice a year. It focuses on equipping students with Data and Project Monitoring and Impact Evaluation tools guided by Behavioural Change pioneered by Cass Sunstein and Richard Thaler.

    Admissions Timeline

    ISPP conducts admissions for its LokNeeti Programme on a rolling basis. Candidates can apply throughout the application window; however, due to limited availability of seats, we encourage you to apply early in the admission cycle.

    Upon enrolment, applicants are provided the details required to plan for the in-person visits, which are an important immersive component of the LokNeeti programme.

    Eligibility for Admission

    ISPP’s LokNeeti Programme, offered on a hybrid part-time model, is open to candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate studies, regardless of discipline. Candidates studying in the final year of graduation are also admitted based on satisfactory performance in the selection process.

    Clarity of written and spoken Hindi and English languages is expected from the applicants, since the medium of teaching for the LokNeeti Programme is Hinglish: a blend of Hindi and English. Applicants are not expected to possess any prior specific skills, background or technical experience, other than basic numerical literacy.

    Application Process

    Applicants can register online with the ISPP Admissions Portal using their basic credentials. We recommend using a personal email address at the time of registration, and not a school or office-affiliated email. All communication from ISPP will be sent only to the email address entered at the time of registration by the applicant.

    Please note that ISPP does not charge any application fee for an Admission Application to its LokNeeti Programme in Policy, Data and Behaviour Change.

    Upon receipt of their unique username and password combination from ISPP over email, they need to login using these received credentials at the ISPP Admissions Portal, and subsequently fill out the LokNeeti Admissions Application, with necessary attachments.

    The Online Application can be completed over multiple sessions, and applicants shall have the option to progressively save parts of their application as they progress.

    ISPP LokNeeti Admissions Form requires the following information:

    1. PERSONAL DETAILS: Name; Date of Birth, Gender; Government ID Details
    2. CONTACT INFORMATION: Postal Correspondence Address, Contact Number, Alternate Contact Number, Email Address
    3. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Graduation; Other Qualifications such as Masters and PhD, if applicable
    4. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Total Work Experience; Current / Last Organization Details, Current / Last Designation at Workplace, Key Responsibilities and Accomplishments
    5. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: To be written in English and/or Hindi Language as a response to two questions:
      1. What gets you interested in the Public Policy field?
      2. Why do you want to pursue the LokNeeti Programme at ISPP

    In addition to the above information, applicants are also required to upload the following enclosures in their LokNeeti Admissions Application:

    1. IDENTIFICATION CERTIFICATE (Scanned / Digital Copy)
    2. GRADUATION DEGREE AND ALL TRANSCRIPTS (Scanned Copies)
    3. OTHER QUALIFICATION(S) DEGREE AND TRANSCRIPTS (Scanned Copies)
    4. CURRICULUM VITAE / RESUME (if available)

    A candidate cannot apply more than once in an admissions cycle. Duplicate applications are not considered and might lead to termination of an applicant’s candidature. Please contact the ISPP Admissions Office at [email protected] if you require to make any corrections in your application.

    Decisions of the ISPP Admissions Office are final and non-negotiable, and no request for re-evaluation of any application shall be considered.

    Selection Process

    LokNeeti Admissions Applications are reviewed for the Personal Background, Academic and Professional Credentials, and Statement of Purpose of an applicant.

    If any Red-Flags, including Plagiarism or Misrepresentation of Information, are found in the Admissions Application, the ISPP Admissions Office shall immediately cancel the candidature of such applicants. No appeals in this regard from the applicant shall be entertained.

    LokNeeti Admission Offer shall be made to successful applicants who have been successful in their application review, within 7 days of their application submission.

    To counter disadvantage based on an applicant’s individual (current and historic) circumstances, ISPP adopts a contextualized approach when reviewing applications. By referring to a candidate’s educational and socio-economic profile, the ISPP Selection Committee is able to gain a contextual understanding of an applicant such as, if they belong to an underprivileged background, or have been geographically or socially restricted, or are restricted in their subject knowledge and expression due to a different academic training.

    Fee Structure

    LokNeeti Programme in Policy, Data and Behaviour Change is priced at a Programme Fee of ₹70,000 (+18% GST). For the incoming cohort, the Indian School of Public Policy is offering a 30% Scholarship to all incoming scholars

    Applicable Total Programme Fee for LokNeeti Cohort of Apr - Sep 2023 is ₹70,000 (+18% GST). The fee is payable in installments, details of which are shared with the Admissions Offer.
