Gurpreet Mahajan was Professor at the Centre for Political Science, Jawaharlal Nehru University. More recently, she was a Scholar of Excellence at Canadian Research Centre for Migration and Integration, Toronto Metropolitan University (2023) and Robert Schumann Fellow at European University Institute (2019). Writing on issues of difference, discrimination, equality, secularism and civil society, in a comparative framework, her work explores the particularity of the Indian experience and theorization.
