About the Event
Shape the conversation on India’s policy future
The Dilli Dialogue is a national public policy conference by the Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) and Chintan Research Foundation (CRF), bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, students, and young policy professionals to engage with some of India’s most pressing policy challenges.
The conference creates a research-led, non-partisan space where evidence, policy ideas, and implementation experience come together to shape actionable solutions.
The Dilli Dialogue is envisioned as a flagship annual platform for public policy dialogue, with a strong focus on applied research, reform-oriented conversations, and meaningful youth participation.
Call for Policy Proposals
We invite young policy professionals and emerging policy practitioners to submit policy proposals addressing key challenges across the conference’s four policy tracks.
Proposals should move beyond diagnosing a problem to developing practical, evidence-based solutions that can be implemented and evaluated.

Why the Dilli Dialogue?
India is at a pivotal stage in its development journey. As the country expands, urbanises, and integrates more deeply with global markets, public institutions face increasingly complex challenges across health, urban development, climate resilience, public finance, employment, and trade.
Addressing these challenges requires more than isolated interventions or short-term fixes. It calls for evidence-based policy, high-quality research, and sustained engagement between policymakers, researchers, and practitioners working on the front lines of implementation.
The Dilli Dialogue seeks to create a national platform for this exchange, bringing together diverse voices across policy domains while creating meaningful opportunities for students and early-career policy professionals to participate in the policy conversation.

Bridging the gap between Policy and Praxis
The conference will explore four policy tracks:

Public Health and Universal Health Assurance
Health financing, insurance frameworks, service delivery, and strengthening public health systems.

Urban Transition and Mobility
Sustainable urbanisation, transport systems, infrastructure financing, and climate-resilient cities.

Economy and Trade
Macroeconomic policy, digitalisation, trade connectivity and competitiveness, and emerging global trends.
4
Climate Change and Sustainability
Climate mitigation and adaptation, climate finance, energy transition, and integrating climate considerations into economic planning, urban development, and public policy decision-making.
The policy tracks will be explored through curated expert panels and presentations from young policy professionals.
What to Expect
Day 1 | Youth Policy Forum Venue: Indian School of Public Policy
The first day will centre on youth participation in public policy, bringing together young policy professionals, students, and emerging researchers for discussions, presentations, and engagement around policy design and implementation.
Day 2 | National Policy Conversations Venue: C.D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre
The second day will bring together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and experts for a series of cross-sector policy conversations across the four thematic tracks.
