Role Overview

ISPP is seeking a senior, execution-driven leader to build Business Development and Career Services as a unified growth function.

This role recognises that employer partnerships drive both revenue opportunities and placement outcomes. The Senior Manager will be responsible for building institutional relationships that translate into:

The role reports to the Director – Executive Education & Career Services and works closely with leadership, faculty, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. 1. Business Development & Partnerships (Primary KRA)
      - Build and manage partnerships with corporates, consulting firms, government bodies, multilateral agencies, foundations, and policy organisations
      - Identify and pursue opportunities for executive education, sponsored cohorts, customised programmes, and institutional collaborations
      - Develop long-term engagement plans for key partner organisations
      - Work with leadership to convert partnerships into repeat institutional relationships
    2. Placement Pipeline Development
      - Build recruiter relationships aligned with ISPP programme portfolios
      - Create structured hiring pipelines across consulting, advisory, CSR, development, public sector, and policy organisations
      - Translate BD partnerships into internship and full-time hiring opportunities
      - Track employer engagement depth and conversion into placement outcomes
    3. Strategic Employer Engagement
      - Lead employer outreach, institutional visits, and partnership discussions
      - Organise employer roundtables, industry briefings, and hiring interactions
      - Position ISPP as a talent partner for organisations working in public systems, governance, and development
      - Leverage the alumni ecosystem by working with the designated PDM lead and the Executive Education lead.
    4. Market Intelligence & Institutional Positioning
      - Track hiring trends across policy, consulting, government advisory, and development sectors
      - Provide insights to leadership on emerging employer demand and partnership opportunities
      - Support the positioning of ISPP programmes based on employer feedback and market signals

Qualifications

Role Overview

The Associate – Communications will support ISPP’s Marketing & Communications team in building the institution’s digital presence through compelling storytelling, engaging multimedia content, and strategic audience engagement. The role involves creating platform-specific social media content, capturing and editing videos and photographs, supporting communication campaigns, and contributing to ISPP’s overall brand visibility across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, social media trends, and digital engagement, along with the ability to independently produce high-quality multimedia content for a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is mandatory
- Ability to independently edit platform-ready content with subtitles, transitions, audio balancing, graphics, and formatting

- Understanding of pacing, storytelling, framing, and visual composition for social media content

Role Overview

ISPP seeks a dynamic and academically inclined Academic Coordinator who excels in project management, instructional design, curriculum coordination, and academic administration. The ideal candidate will bridge faculty and scholar needs, support teaching and research initiatives, and contribute to the academic excellence of ISPP’s postgraduate programs. This role combines core academic coordination responsibilities with opportunities to engage in teaching support, curriculum development, quantitative methodology guidance, and scholarly mentorship. The Coordinator reports to the Dean of ISPP.

PhD/M.Phil./MA in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Statistics, Development Economics, or a related discipline.
Prior experience in teaching at the graduate level OR experience in instructional design, facilitation, supervising fieldwork, and leadership training.
Demonstrated experience in academic coordination, curriculum development, or faculty/scholar management.
Ability to mentor postgraduate students and support academic research; familiarity with quantitative methods is a plus.
Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), academic database management; familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata) is desirable.

About ISPP

Role Overview

The Manager (Brand, Communications & Public Engagement) will serve as a core custodian of ISPP’s brand, with a strong, hands-on focus on visual storytelling. This is a build-from-scratch role for a mid-senior professional who understands communications and can personally lead photography, videography, and video editing to bring ISPP’s work, people, and ideas to life.

The role requires a rare blend of strategic thinking and on-ground execution. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable shaping institutional narratives and independently shooting and editing high-quality visual content across classrooms, events, public discussions, and campus life. High emotional intelligence, strong collaboration skills, and comfort working closely with faculty, students, and leadership are essential.

9+ years of experience in brand, communications, or public affairs is required. Demonstrated, hands-on expertise in photography, videography, and video editing is a core requirement for this role. Experience in higher education, public policy, or mission-driven organisations is preferred; ISPP alumni will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Storytelling (Core Responsibility): Lead institutional photography and videography across academic and community settings. Edit videos using professional tools to create reels, long-form videos, and explainers, while ensuring produced visual content aligns with ISPP’s academic credibility and brand tone.

Team Leadership: Guide and coordinate a small communications team and external partners (PR agency, website agency, etc.), while remaining personally accountable for visual content

Positioning: Own and strengthen ISPP’s brand identity and narrative across platforms by ensuring consistent, high-quality expression across digital, print, media, and events, with a strong emphasis on visual brand expression through photography and video.

Digital Presence: Own and grow ISPP’s digital presence by leading the website, social media platforms, newsletters, and webinars, with visual content (photos and videos) as the primary growth lever.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams (academics, admissions, research centers, student bodies etc.) to capture their work visually and narratively, translating academic and policy work into compelling photos, videos, and stories.

Events: Conceptualise and execute policy meet-ups, webinars, and public discussions, and lead all visual documentation, including photography, videography, live capture, and post-event video edits for amplification.

Senior Research Associate, ICUT

About ISPP Centre for Urban Transitions (ICUT)

Given the emerging importance of urban areas in shaping India’s journey toward becoming a Viksit Bharat, ISPP has launched the Centre for Urban Transitions (ICUT). The Centre is envisioned as a hub for forward-looking research, capacity building, and policy advisory in the areas of integrated urban management and urban development. Over time, ICUT aims to build a comprehensive repository of online learning resources in urban planning and management.

The Centre will operate through a network of senior empaneled experts and a small core of full-time professionals. A senior faculty member at ISPP will serve as the Centre’s Director on a part-time basis.

Role Summary

ISPP is currently looking to recruit two highly motivated Manager who will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling the work of ICUT. This individual will contribute to research, programme design and delivery, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge dissemination in the urban sector.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Director in shaping the Centre’s research and training agenda
Design and deliver training programmes in integrated urban management and urban transitions
Undertake or coordinate applied research projects, policy briefs, and advisory assignments
Build partnerships with urban local bodies, think tanks, academic institutions, and government agencies
Develop knowledge products, case studies, and online learning materials
Manage programme operations, logistics, reporting, and communications
Represent ICUT at urban development forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings

Candidate Profile

Experience

5 to 10 years of relevant experience in research, consulting, capacity building, or project implementation in the urban sector
Strong understanding of urban governance, infrastructure, mobility, land-use, or public finance is preferred
Prior experience working with government agencies, urban think tanks, or multilateral institutions is desirable

Educational Qualification

Urban Planning Track: Postgraduate degree in Urban Planning, Urban Management, Urban Economics, or a closely related field
Policy/Development Track: Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Management, or a related discipline
