Harsh Shrivastava helps institutions position themselves better to all stakeholders. Governments (Union and State), investors, media, employees, civil society, and local citizens. How to reach each of them in a language that they can understand, conveying relevant points about the company’s present and future contribution is Harsh’s talent. He links corporate strategy to corporate affairs, corporate communications, ESG investing, and CSR and ensuring their effective implementation. He can do so because of his 28 years’ diverse experience across governments, businesses, industry bodies, media, and civil society. His insights into a complex and changing India helping him better advise companies on how to respond to future challenges. Harsh was the Planning Commission’s Consultant (Planning) and managed the process of making the 12 th Plan. He served in the Prime Minister’s Office on the personal staff of Prime Minister Vajpayee as his deputy speechwriter. He is a senior adviser to the Meghalaya Investment Promotion Board. He was also a member of an advisory committee constituted by the National Commission of Scheduled Castes. Harsh has been the CEO of MFIN (Microfinance Institutions Network), which is the self-regulatory organisation of all microfinance providers in India. He has held senior posts in corporate India and at CII. Harsh was also a journalist and co-wrote India’s first book on Corporate Social Responsibility in 1998. Harsh is a member of the Responsible Leaders Network of the BMW Foundation, Germany, and one of its network drivers for India. He was an Emerging Leaders Fellow at the Australia India Institute, Melbourne and an IVLP fellow of the US Department of State. Harsh has taught public policy at IIM, Ahmedabad (where he did his MBA) and lectured at Indian School of Business, Australian National University, Melbourne University, IIMs, and other B-schools. His articles have been published in leading business and national newspapers.
