Dhiraj Gyani is a strategic ecosystem and institution-building leader with over 25 years of experience spanning technology, startups, public policy, digital transformation, enterprise engagement, and industry advocacy. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at IndiaTech.org, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on startup ecosystem growth, technology policy, industry collaboration, and institutional development across India’s digital economy landscape.
Over the course of his career, Dhiraj has worked at the intersection of government, industry, academia, startups, and technology companies, building high-impact partnerships and multi-stakeholder ecosystems. Prior to IndiaTech.org, he led government, education, and ecosystem engagement initiatives for GitHub in India and previously drove strategic public-sector and enterprise engagement programmes at Microsoft India, focusing on cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. He has also held leadership positions at Project Management Institute (PMI) and FICCI, where his work centred on government relations, policy advocacy, standards development, and regulatory engagement.
Dhiraj has led and scaled strategic programmes, fellowship initiatives, skilling ecosystems, innovation platforms, and collaborations involving founders, developers, enterprise leaders, policymakers, academic institutions, and government stakeholders. He is particularly passionate about institution building, ecosystem partnerships, and mentoring emerging public policy professionals and early-stage startup founders.
