Instructor, Policy Writing & Communication Lab

About ISPP (www.ispp.org.in): The ISPP offers a unique one-year PGP in Policy, Design & Management with a world-class faculty and facilities. It has been setup by eminent academicians, policy experts, administrators, and philanthropists with a vision to develop a new class of policy leaders for India and the region.

Campus: Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi.

Designation: Instructor, Policy Writing & Communication Lab

Nature: Full-time/part-time In-office position (currently work from home).

Joining Date: Immediately.

Overview of the role and responsibility
The Policy Writing & Communication Lab offers training and support to improve English writing and communication skills of the scholars for use in public policy. It also trains scholars in writing policy briefs, memos, Op-eds and research papers. It helps scholars to improve their speaking skills using debates, speeches and presentations.

The Instructor will be responsible for providing detailed comments and feedback on their writings and working with them to improve their editing, writing and communication skills.

Prior experience and credentials

  • Have a MA/ PhD. Preferably in English. Public Policy background is a significant plus.
  • Minimum experience of 2-3 years as a teacher in university and/or post-graduate institution.
  • Experience in writing op-eds, policy analysis pieces, articles, and analytical reports.
  • Should be skilled in editing and copy-editing written work
  • Should have a working knowledge of public policy issues and exposure to publications
    relevant to the study of public policy and public administration
  • Should be able to manage schedules, communication and coursework on an online
    learning management system

Qualities desired

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced academic setting
  • Should have a collaborative approach to dealing with scholars and team members
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to learning

Compensation
Commensurate with experience and potential, within a range of Rs 9 to 12 lac per annum

Designation: Senior Manager, Admissions and Outreach

Nature: Full-time In-office position (currently work from home)

Overview of the role and responsibility
To lead the admissions, online and offline outreach and brand and reputation management

Specific responsibilities

  • Lead overall admissions marketing and selection and recruitment process
  • Conceptualize the overall brand development and outreach strategy to ensure visible
    public and media attention and to attract the right quality and number of students
  • Create and nurture new alliances with media, channel partners with direct access to
    prospective students, other colleges, promotional platforms or events
  • Define and strengthen the digital marketing channels, optimize lead generation and
    conversions
  • Develop and manage content for websites, emailer, social media ads, PR campaigns
    and press releases.
  • Maintain direct oversight on external vendors, partners for development and
    production of marketing collaterals like brochures, ads, prospectus, presentations,
    website, online ads and so on
  • Stay abreast of new developments in the sector to enhance the effectiveness of the
    outreach and admissions effort

Prior experience and credentials

  1. Minimum of four years of experience in the admission management, marketing and
    outreach, higher priority to experience in education and training domain
  2. Demonstrated track-record of improvements in technical skills and interpersonal
    communication

Qualities and skills

  1. A collaborative leadership style and comfort in a non-hierarchical work environment
  2. A good blend of strategy development as well as execution, given a small team
  3. Passion for work and making a difference, intellectual curiosity and commitment to
    learning
  4. Proficiency in managing online platforms like Google Analytics, Social Media Ads, PR
    Campaign Management, Emailer Marketing and techniques related to SEO, online
    advertising and lead generation
  5. Being comfortable with uncertainties of a start-up like an environment

Compensation
Commensurate with experience and potential, within a range of Rs 12-16 lacs

Learning Associate, Academics

Designation: Learning Associate, Academics.

Nature: Full-time In-office position (currently work from home).

Joining Date: Immediately.

Number of Positions: One.

Overview of the role and responsibility
The Indian School of Public Policy is seeking a Learning Associate (LA) to support its world-class faculty in their various courses, particularly in quantitative courses such as Statistics, Game Theory, and R-Programming. The LA will be responsible assisting the faculty in managing the course schedule, readings, grading assignments, collecting scholar feedback, and running overall coursework through a learning management system. The LA will need to keep office hours and/or seminar sessions to assist scholars with their learning. It is a new institute and from time to time, the LA could be asked to help in other functions of the institute.

Prior experience and credentials

  • Must have a background in Economics. Masters is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Game Theory is a major advantage
  • Should be proficient in R-Programming and data analytics
  • Previous experience in an academic setting is desirable

  • Must enjoy teaching and learning, be intellectually curious
  • Should have a collaborative approach to dealing with scholars and team members
