We are recruiting a full-time office-based Fundraising, Deputy Manager to support the partnerships and fundraising activity at ISPP.
Position Summary
The Fundraising, Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing ISPP’s fundraising strategy, establishing and sustaining donor relationships, and ensuring effective grant acquisition and retention. The role requires strong research, proposal development, outreach and relationship-management skills, along with the ability to represent ISPP at external platforms and engage with diverse stakeholders across the public policy ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Donor Research & Strategy Development
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify CSR, foundation, HNI, multilateral and institutional fundraising opportunities.
- Maintain and update the donor pipeline and funding landscape reports.
- Support the implementation of annual fundraising goals and strategic plans.
2. Outreach & Relationship Management
- Initiate and manage outreach to potential donors and partners.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with CSR heads, foundation leaders, government stakeholders and philanthropic networks.
- Represent ISPP at external events, conferences and stakeholder meetings.
3. Proposal Development & Documentation
- Prepare proposals, concept notes, grant applications, pitch decks and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with academic, research centres, finance and communications teams to develop accurate and compelling proposals.
- Ensure submissions meet donor requirements, timelines and compliance standards.
4. Donor Servicing & Grant Management
- Manage donor communication, progress updates, impact reports.
- Support grant execution processes, including MoUs, due diligence, reporting schedules, and documentation.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and donor commitments.
5. Event Participation & Representation
- Represent ISPP at CSR forums, sectoral convenings and partner events to enhance visibility and build networks.
- Coordinate donor visits, campus tours and leadership interactions.
- Support ISPP-led events focused on donor engagement and institutional branding.
6. Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with leadership and programme teams to align fundraising priorities with institutional goals.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all fundraising activities, outreach, and donor communication.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports, dashboards, and documentation for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in Management, Public Policy, Development Studies, Communications or related field. Post-graduate will be preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, CSR partnerships, business development, or related roles. Experience of working in an academic institution is a plus.
- Proven experience in proposal writing, donor relationship management, databases, CRM and external representation.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions
- Full-time, based at the ISPP Campus in New Delhi.
- Occasional travel may be required for donor meetings, events, and external representation.
