How is ISPP different from UPSC preparation for entering government roles?

UPSC focuses on clearing a highly competitive exam, whereas ISPP focuses on building real-world policy capability. The PDM Programme in Public Policy is structured around developing analytical thinking, research skills, and institutional understanding. This makes students job-ready for policy roles even if they never appear for UPSC.

At ISPP, learning is applied and professional. Students engage in Workshops & Labs, policy projects, and real problem-solving exercises. UPSC preparation is mostly self-study and exam-oriented.

ISPP also offers structured Career Support, which UPSC coaching institutes usually do not. Instead of leaving career outcomes to chance, ISPP actively guides students into policy roles across government, NGOs, think tanks, and industry bodies.

So if UPSC is about becoming the system, ISPP is about working inside the system as a policy professional.
