Will I get real-world exposure, or is the programme mostly classroom-based?

A key part of this exposure comes through Immersive Learning Projects (ILP). These projects allow students to work on real policy problems with organisations, helping them experience how policy research, analysis, and implementation happen outside academic settings. ILP bridges the gap between what is taught in class and how decisions are made in practice.

Additionally, the programme includes structured Workshops & Labs that focus on applied learning. These sessions help students build practical skills such as policy analysis, consulting frameworks, and quantitative reasoning. This ensures that students gain not just conceptual clarity but also professional competence.

The overall design of the PDM Programme in Public Policy reflects this balance between theory and application. Classroom sessions build understanding, while projects, labs, and experiential components build confidence.

For a recent graduate, this combination is extremely valuable. It provides a realistic view of policy careers, helps build early professional exposure, and ensures that learning is deeply connected to real-world impact.
