About the Institutions

Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) and the National Law University (NLU), Meghalaya came together to form “Lokneeti: The North-East Chapter” – a visionary initiative that aimed to empower the next generation of policy professionals with the skills and knowledge required to address the distinct challenges and opportunities in the region.

National Law University, Meghalaya

NLU-Meg is an upcoming educational institution with
a futuristic orientation and focus on personalized learning, rigorous and policy-relevant actionable research and community engagement.

The University seeks to promote a multi-disciplinary approach among students and the learning community -providing options for domain specialization in Policy Science, Management or Data Science along with an undergraduate degree in Law.

Situated in the quaint city of Shillong, the University has adopted a modern outlook towards knowledge creation and skill generation with a focus on learning outcomes instead of information overload.

Indian School of Public Policy, founded in October 2018, aims to democratise public policy in India and help build capacity for public policy across Sarkaar, Bazaar, and Samaaj. ISPP already has ~200 alumni across all academic programmes.

LokNeeti Programme in Policy, Data and Behaviour Change

Programme for working professionals interested in participating in public policy. The 16-week hybrid programme focuses on equipping students with Data and Project Monitoring and Impact Evaluation tools guided by Behavioural Change pioneered by Cass Sunstein and Richard Thaler.
